How to create an Ad Map

An Ad Map allows you to define where advertisements will appear throughout your digital playbill. You can choose from ads you've uploaded and place them in specific sections of the Marquee. This guide walks you through how to create a new Ad Map in Step 5 of the Marquee Builder.

Step 1: Accessing the Ad Map Section

In the Marquee Builder, navigate to Step 5, then select the Ad Map option.

You will be presented with two choices:

1. Create New Ad Map – To build a custom layout for this event.
2. Use Existing Ad Map – To reuse a previously created ad layout.

For this walkthrough, choose Create New Ad Map.

Step 2: Naming and Setting Up Your Ad Map

Start by entering a Name for your Ad Map.

• Tip: If you're using the same ad layout across multiple events or a full season, use a name like “2025 Season Ads” for easy reference and reuse.

Next, input the Year for organizational purposes.

• Your Marquee will already be pre-filled and linked to this Ad Map.

Click Next to continue.

Step 3: Configuring Ad Placements

You’ll now assign ads to specific locations throughout your Marquee, starting with the Notes Section.

Visual Preview

You'll see a mockup of the extended Notes Section, which outlines all available ad placements.

1. Click Add under Notes Section – Top.
2. A dropdown will appear showing all available ads in your database.
3. Select the ad you’d like to appear in that placement.

Repeat this process for each remaining placement within the Notes Section.

Note: The three ad spots related to the Messages Section are conditional. If your Marquee doesn’t include Messages, those ad spots will not appear in the final display.

Step 4: Completing the Remaining Sections

After finishing the Notes Section, continue configuring ad placements for other parts of the Marquee, such as:

• Homepage
• Between Components
• Footer

Each section will have its own visual preview and ad selection dropdowns.

Step 5: Submitting and Editing Your Ad Map

Once all desired ad placements have been configured, click Submit to finalize your Ad Map.

To make changes later:

• Navigate to the Ads panel in the Marquee Database where you can edit or update your Ad Map settings.
