How to create a Title Billing section


The Title Billing section is where you define the key credits for your event, including writers, performers, and creative team members. This guide will walk you through the process of adding and customizing your Title Billing in the Marquee Builder.


Step 1: Selecting a Title Billing Structure

To begin, navigate to Step 3 in the Marquee Builder, where you will find the Title Billing section.

The first choice you'll make is selecting a Title Billing structure. There are two primary options:

  • Theatre – A standard format similar to traditional printed programs, including essential show information like writers, performers, and creative team members.
  • Concert/Masterclass – A structure tailored for events that require schedules, locations, and other relevant details rather than a standard theatrical format.

Choose the structure that best fits your production.


Step 2: Adding Writers and Licensing Information

Once you've selected your structure, you'll enter details for the Writing Team.

  1. Select a Role – A dropdown menu provides common options (e.g., Playwright, Composer, Lyricist). If you don’t see the role you need, choose Custom and enter your own.
  2. Enter Names – Add the names associated with each role.
  3. Need more slots? – If additional writers need to be added, use the "Add More" dropdown.
  4. Messaging & Licensing – Enter any required licensing text as per contractual obligations.
  5. Custom Billing Upload (Optional) – If your production requires a specific billing format (e.g., designated font sizes, placements), you can upload a .webp or .png file.
    • Recommended format: Transparent or white background for seamless integration.

Step 3: Featuring List (Performing Artists)

This section automatically populates with artists who have submitted their information. You can:

  • Review the list to see who has provided their details.
  • Hide the "Featuring" list if you prefer not to display this section. Artists will still appear in the Notes and People sections of the Marquee.

Step 4: Adding the Creative Team

The Creative Team includes directors, designers, and other key creatives who will appear in the front billing of the program.

Adding Creative Team Members

  1. Click + Creative Team to begin.
  2. Choose the Director (or Top Creative) role and click Add.
  3. Select a name from the dropdown if the staff member has already been created.
    • Need to add a new staff member? Click Create New Staff and enter:
      • Role (e.g., Director, Lighting Designer, Choreographer)
      • Name(s) (Separate multiple names by pressing Enter)
  4. Click Submit to save the entry.
  5. Repeat the process for additional Creative Team members.
    • If you need more than 12 Creative Team members, use the "Add More" dropdown.

Step 5: Finalizing Title Billing

Once all sections are completed:

  • Click Submit to finalize your Title Billing setup.
  • If you need to edit your Title Billing later, you can do so from the Marquee Database.

Your Title Billing is now complete and ready to be displayed in your digital playbill! 🎭
